The Jump Start Staff
Jump Start Basketball Camp prides itself on the outstanding quality of the staff we offer for the campers. We provide each camper with an experienced coach for her camp team. Each of our campers will benefit from coaches who have experience at the collegiate, high school, or AAU level of coaching. Campers will spend many hours a day with their coach and we want that experience to be rewarding. Each of our coaches has one simple responsibility – FOCUS ON COACHING AND IMPROVING THEIR CAMPERS.
The Jump Start Staff has historically been one of the top camp staffs in the industry. Our staff has included a large number of college coaches as well as some of the finest high school and AAU coaches in our area. Some of the colleges represented in the past few years have been: Hofstra University, St. John’s University, George Washington University, Manhattan College, St. Peter’s College, Delhi College, Skidmore College, Dowling College, St. Peter’s College and Adelphi University.
Our former staff has also included some of the top coaches on the East Coast. The staff included coaches from Christ the King H.S., The Mary Louis Academy, Mahasset H.S., Stamford H.S., New England Crusaders AAU Club and The Liberty Belles AAU Club. The staff also included players from Villanova University, Boston College, Boston University, Manhattan College, James Madison University, Loyola University, St. John’s University, The George Washington University, Fairfield University and The University of Connecticut.
Each year the Jump Start Basketball Camp staff is TOTALLY committed to the improvement of each of our campers. This commitment will continue for our 2008 staff—which we expect to be the best staff ever assembled for camp!!
We want our coaching staff to focus on the development of the players. To ensure our commitment to our campers we hire a group of current college players to assist with other aspects of camp. These college players will referee all games, give assistance at stations, be available for “early bird” and “night owl” and perform nightly bed checks. We are determined to give our campers the most individual attention possible with the best coaches in this area.
