Jill Cook Bio

As Jump Start’s founder and director, Jill Cook has designed a camp program that truly focuses on learning and developing in a competitive atmosphere.

Jill is one of the most well known and respected coaches in the country. While coaching at Christ the King H.S, Jill has been a major contributor to CK’s reign of 12 consecutive NY State Championships as well as three USA Today National Titles.

Jill is also the President of the Liberty Belles AAU club, the most successful AAU club in the Northeast. Since 1991 she has led her AAU teams to nine AAU National Championship appearances.

Jill has coached more than 100 scholarship winners – including Chamique Holdsclaw (Washington Mystics) and Sue Bird (UCONN). Prior to coaching at Christ the King, Jill coached at Adelphi University for two years.

As a player Jill led Christ the King to their first NY State title and National ranking before moving on to start at point guard for Georgetown University, where she still holds the top two single season assist records.

These combined experiences have helped Jill to develop a program where all levels of players – from beginner to varsity – will benefit.
